  • Job Description
    USTSV invites applications for tenure-track Professors at Assistant, Associate and Full levels. The primary focus of this position will be on teaching the certificate courses as needed.
    our Hacker Academy curriculum includes multiple opportunities for hands-on learning; we place a strong emphasis on active learning in the classroom and experiential learning through competitions, internships and co-ops, graduate research, and study abroad. We strongly encourage incorporate latest scientific and technological advances into our curriculum. The courses taught by the successful candidate are a key component of this experience, in which students develop and demonstrate their proficiency of technical, communication, and teamwork skills through hands-on projects. The courses projects typically make use of latest technologies to solve open-ended real world problems.
    The candidate will also contribute to USTSV in matters of curricula and instruction, serve on related committees, have the opportunity to work with students, help advise and mentor graduates, work with and develop new industry partners to help create internship and co-op opportunities for students.

  • Job Description
    USTSV is accepting applications for the position of Adjunct Professors. This is part-time non-tenure track teaching position. One of the primary duties of the position will be teaching courses for USTSV programs and Hacker Academy.
    This is a professional position in which the professor teaches graduate and certificate coursework at USTSV. The incumbent also visits and identifies business needs of companies and determines potential USTSV collaboration based on the mission and vision of USTSV, works with companies to prepare for our courses with follow-up after the course, works to develop various continuous improvement activities, and coaches and mentors USTSV students throughout our program. The incumbent exercises discretion and judgment in developing student/company interaction, coordinating company/USTSV events and programs, and providing support to companies.
    This individual will also propose and create post-graduate training for USTSV students. This training will also necessitate that the professor act as a coach and mentor to USTSV students through the educational program offered.

    This position performs duties to identify and recruit prospective students. The incumbent plans and participates in the implementation and recruitment of prospective students using marketing strategies and public relations skills, and counsels prospective students and parents regarding the admission process.
  • Examples of Work Performed
    • Assists in the planning and implementation of admissions and recruitment strategies including social media, websites, and content.
    • Represents the University at various recruitment events to interpret state-mandated and institutional admissions requirements, provide financial information and guidelines, and give information regarding courses of study and other facets of the University to prospective students, both traditional and non-traditional, and to families and school counselors and other officials.
    • Participates with the departmental leadership in defining key schools, sets new student enrollment targets for each of those schools, and devises and implements strategies to reach those targets.
    • Corresponds with prospective students including applicants, family, alumni, school counselors and others seeking information on admissions standards, academic and non-academic programs, and student activities; makes telephone calls and schedules personal visits with prospective students, as appropriate.
    • Conducts presentations and on-campus interviews of prospective students and their parents or guardians; assists in arranging campus tours; and attends training programs and staff development meetings.
    • May participate in the admissions and scholarship selection committee process to identify prospective students and submit acceptance to the unit’s program.
